Who Should Apply
The County seeks individuals who bring professional expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethical public service.
- ✓Reside in Riverside County or operate a business within Riverside County.
- ✓Possess professional experience in accounting, auditing, financial management, risk management, internal controls, compliance, or related disciplines.
- ✓Demonstrate strong analytical skills, independence, integrity, and sound professional judgment.
- ✓Have the ability to review and evaluate financial, audit, governance, and risk-related materials.

Application Process
Qualified candidates will be reviewed by the Auditor-Controller to verify professional qualifications and recommended to the Board of Supervisors for appointment.
Term and Commitment
- ✓Public Members serve staggered two-year terms and may be renewed once.
- ✓Members serve without compensation unless otherwise provided by the Board of Supervisors.
- ✓Members are expected to review materials in advance and actively participate in Committee discussion and oversight.

The Audit Committee is committed to open meetings and public transparency in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act. Agendas are publicly posted and approved action minutes are maintained as part of the official County record.
